Watch out: Snow Rollers! (SuperInformation)

What the heck is a snow roller?

From: www.chillicothegazette.com

Here's an excerpt from GREENSBURGDAILYNEWS.COM:

The story, in a nutshell: Snow rollers, according to climatologists, are created when winds of 25 miles or higher whip their way across frozen, crusty snow topped with wet, sticky snow.

As the frozen snow is pulled from the ground and begins to tumble, the "rolling" begins. And as the wetter snow sticks to the chunks and off the roller goes -- well, just check out any of a number of local yards or fields to see what happens.

My mom and dad saw a bunch of these right outside their house! Here's what Google News has to say.

Sweet! I wish I could have seen a few in person. Oh, but that would mean I'd have to be in a snowy place. Never mind.
