The City of God (SuperInformation)
Last night, I watched The City of God.
What an incredible movie! I'm terrible at writing reviews, but here's a davecerpt:
- The movie should be rated NC25 for violence. If you are under 25 years old, go to the video store and rent some girl on girl action videos, but don't watch The City of God until you are older.
- If after you watched the movie, you say "that movie sucked because there was too much gratuitous violence", then remember that this film was based on true events.

Glad you enjoyed it Dave. I think it has about a 100% chance of being nominated for the Oscar tomorrow.
Your NC25 comment is good :) but ironic given that in the real City of God, kids had to actually LIVE with that kind of violence from the time they were born.

And they were participating in that sort of violence from the time they were, like, 5. I'm pretty sure that one kid who got shot in the foot was wearing pull-ups under his shorts.
