Drive Safely (Odd Musings)

Lately, we've had some very very rainy weather. The other day, I was driving to work, and it was just pouring rain. It was also foggy, other cars were kicking up water, there was water all over the road, it was a mess. I eventually found myself behind a big orange truck (like a state construction truck or something) and was staring at the sign on the back of it. Just driving along.

I soon realized that the truck that I was following wasn't splashing more rain on my car than the rain itself, and it was going at a decent speed, so I decided to just go with the flow, so to speak.

So I'm driving along, navigating my way to work, when all of a sudden the truck slowed down dramatically and pulled off to the edge of the road without a signal. I slammed my brakes partly out of reaction, partly because I really was afraid of hitting the truck, and hydroplaned. It was a little disconcerting.

And the sign on the back of the truck that I had been staring at?

"Thank you for driving safely."

Your car's ABS doesn't prevent that? :( (anti-bastard system. now, THAT would be a cooler system..)
