New Mosaic! (Mosaics)

Behold! Here's a mosaic I recently finished. Whew :-) This goes with the K.

And here's the last one I made for K & C. It's a Celtic design that C picked out. Both of these were made with polymer clay miniature tiles. All tiles were just 4mm square and the combination of the 3 mosaics are comprised of thousands of them.

VERY COOL! They are lucky to have a talented friend such as yourself. :)

Those are gorgeous! Do you cut the tiles after they're fired, or before? How long did that take you to do?

The tiles are 4mm square from the gal I get them from. They're polymer clay, unfired I think... because they cut like butter with a scalpel :-)
It took me about 6 months of sporadic work.

Ok, I know I'm commenting on an ancient post, but I just had to point out that the Celtic one looks much nicer in person! I think the digital camera pixellation effect makes all the tiles look a bit irregular, but in real life, they're reeeally pretty.
